Baked Brie Cranberry has an easy, tangy roasted cranberry orange sauce over warmed baked brie. This naturally gluten free appetizer comes together in minutes and has four simple ingredients.
Cranberry Baked Brie is guaranteed to be a hit at your holiday party!
The Best Baked Brie Recipe
With the busy holiday season approaching, we all need the perfect appetizer to serve. Baked brie always seems to be a hit, is easy to make, and only requires fresh cranberries, an orange, brown sugar, and brie.
The roasted cranberry sauce smothered on top only takes a few minutes to throw together and adds a bright burst of flavor that dried cranberries lack. To make life even easier, make the quick cranberry jam up to a week ahead of time.
When ready to serve, simply place in a baked brie dish, spoon cranberry compote over top, and warm for a few minutes in the oven.
Since this baked brie appetizer does use a sheet of puff pastry to wrap the brie, it is naturally gluten free. It’s equally as delicious as traditional puffed pastry baked brie recipes, but all will be able to enjoy!
If you have extra fresh or frozen cranberries, make sure to whip up a loaf of Cranberry Orange Bread!

Baked Brie with Cranberries and Pecans
Sprinkle on bit of sweet and salty with crunch candied pecans. They only take five minutes to make on your stove top and are the perfect addition to creamy baked brie and roasted fresh cranberries.
Baked Brie with Cranberries and Walnuts
Alternatively, add quick candied walnuts to top of the warmed baked brie. Sprinkle on the nuts either before or after baking the cranberry brie appetizer.
How Long Do I Cook It in the Oven?
Watch the brie carefully in the oven because it can go from perfect to melted mess. (Unfortunately been there – multiple times.)
Since this brie recipe doesn’t have a puffed pastry wrapped around it, it cooks in a short period of time. Bake at 350ºF for 7-10 minutes until it starts to ooze and soften, but not completely melt.
If the brie melts from overcooking, all hope is not loss! Simply let the brie cool slightly and scoop cheese back into shape. Spread roasted cranberry sauce over the top, and voila! Disaster averted.
Can the Skin of Brie be Eaten?
I’ve always been curious exactly what is brie cheese rind. Fascinating stuff.
First off, it’s completely edible and leaving it on or off is a matter of preference. For this recipe I trim the rind slightly to allow the brie to ooze more.
Brie rind, also found on Camembert and triple crèmes, is a sprayed on white mold called penicillium candidum. It’s a completely harmless fungus applied during the cheese making process to keep it safe from potentially harmful micro-organisms.
So eat away. Or not.
