Why Simply Limeade Makes The Best Margaritas!
It’s possible to make easy margaritas without a mix! In fact, this margarita-making hack tastes better and fresher than using any syrupy sweet sour mix.
Simply Limeade only contains fresh lime juice, cane sugar, and water. It’s a great shortcut for making quick and easy margaritas. First, it saves you from squeezing a ton of fresh limes. Plus, it also has a cleaner, fresher taste than manufactured sour mixes containing high fructose corn syrup.
Using Limeade for margaritas is also beneficial when making margaritas for a crowd because it involves only 3 ingredients with no juicing. The taste is perfect balance of fresh, sweet, and tart, much like Skinny Margaritas, but with no juicing!

Let’s Make This Together!
You can be sipping on the best and easiest margarita in less than 5 minutes from start to clean up!
- For salted rim glasses, take a lime wedge or a little bit of water and go around the top rim of a glass. Turn the glass over onto a small plate filled with kosher salt or coarse salt.
- Fill prepared glass with ice and pour in tequila, Simply Limeade, and triple sec. Stir and enjoy!

Like It Frozen?
There’s a couple ways you can make a frozen version. Either pour the ingredients, without the ice, into a ziplock freezer bag. Seal, squeeze to combine, then lay flat in the freezer for 2-3 hours, or until frozen. The contents won’t freeze completely because of the alcohol, but become slushy. Pour into a glass and enjoy! (For big batch margaritas, use a plastic jug.)
Another way is to pour a 12 ounce can frozen limeade concentrate, 1 cup tequila, and 4 ounces triple sec into a blender with ice. Blend to mix and enjoy. This option is best if you plan on drinking them immediately. Makes 6 cocktails.
If you’d like to use frozen limeade concentrate, no sweat! Look for store brands like Minute Maid, or Old Orchard. Prepare the concentrate according to package instructions. Once it’s mixed with water, use the same proportions as Simply Limeade in the recipe.

Who Doesn’t Love a Marg Every Which Way?
You have the basic recipe, now let’s get creative with some fancy-upped cocktails. For a spicy version shake up the ingredients with a few slices of jalapeño in a cocktail shaker. For a slight fizz, top each drink with a club soda, lemon-lime soda, ginger ale, or even beer, like Corona.
Sometimes I like to make a fruity or fresh herb version of Limeade margs. Muddle fresh or frozen berries, basil, cilantro, or a combo in the bottom of the glass before filling with the cocktail makings.
Need a Big Batch?
When making Limeade margaritas for a crowd, don’t fill the pitcher or drink dispenser with ice first. This will water down the margaritas as it sits.
Instead set out glasses, some prepared with salt rims, and a bucket of ice. A pitcher of limeade margaritas will server 8-10 guests. Just mix together 1/2 cup triple sec, 5 cups Limeade, and 2 cups tequila.

I like my margaritas more on the sweet side so I added a splash of orange juice, a little extra lime juice, and 6 oz of limeade. The orig recipe is perfect for real margarita drinkers lol
Haha! Thanks, Donna!

Can I make a few batches a day before? Keep refrigerated of course!
Yep! I do this and store it back in the Simply Limeade containers.

Thank you so much for the quick response!!
You bet!
This is the best margarita recipe. Simple, easy delicious. Thank you.
Appreciate this, Gwen! Thanks for taking the time to leave me a note.
Best,
Melissa
I appreciate the large batch recipe, but am I missing how to make for 50 people? I guess I do the math.
Limade is the way to go.. Makes it super easy.. Mix up the ratios until you get it to your preferences but with this alone its smooth. I’d use a shaker with jalopeno and put a tajin rim with a lime slice inside. So good..
My fave way to have it too! Thanks for writing!
Best,
Melissa
I would never serve this artificial tasting drink. It does not have a real lime flavor.
We love simply limeade…its ONLY lime juice, sugar and water, so it’s a very authentic lime flavor. It makes a very fresh tasting margarita, in our opinion. I’ve served this recipe many times to large groups and have been asked for the recipe each time. I typically add a splash of OJ and a little fresh squeezed lime juice to mine.
Thank you! I love the splash of OJ too! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Melissa
Angela seems like a real caddy B! Don’t knock something until you try it!
It is lime juice, water and sugar. What is artificial?
This looks delightful! Make you feel like you’re on vacation even when you can’t be!
Hi Bernie,
Exactly! I’ll take what I can get right now!
