Looking for a blackberry martini recipe to beat out all others? This sparkling cocktail is the perfect way to celebrate and guaranteed go down easy (a little too easy)! Refreshing blackberry martinis are made with fresh blackberries, vodka, citrus, and a sparkling finish.
In a small saucepan combine blackberries, sugar, and water. Mash blackberries with a muddler, potato masher, or fork. Bring to a boil and then lower heat to a simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
½ cup fresh blackberries, ½ cup granulated sugar, ½ cup water
Use a mesh strainer to strain solids from simple syrup. Set strained syrup aside to cool slightly. Blackberry Simple Syrup makes enough for 6 martinis.
Blackberry Martini
In a cocktail shaker place vodka, 1 ounce blackberry simple syrup, elderflower liqueur, and lemon juice. DO NOT POUR IN PROSECCO YET.
2 ounces vodka, 1 ounce blackberry simple syrup, ½ ounce elderflower liqueur , ½ ounce fresh squeeze lemon juice
Fill with ice, shake, then strain into a martini glass. Top with Prosecco and serve.
