French Toast Casserole

Not only has this recipe for gluten-free french toast casserole been throughly tested to achieve the ideal sweetness, moist interior, rich bread custard, and golden crust, but when served to non-celiac guests, they had no idea it was gluten-free french toast!

Ingredients

Cream Cheese Vanilla Extract Powdered Sugar Egg | Whole Milk Brown Sugar Orange | Butter Cinnamon Gluten-Free Bread

In a medium mixing bowl, mix together all of the ingredients for the cream cheese filling, then set aside.

Let's Make It!

In a large mixing bowl whisk eggs, milk, and sugar. Add the bread cubes and stir gently to combine.

Pour half of the bread bread in the prepped baking dish, then evenly dollop the cream cheese mixture, then top with the remaining bread.

For the topping, combine melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla. Brush the top of the casserole. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight.

Uncover the dish and bake in the middle rack for about 50 minutes. Once cooked, allow to slightly cool before serving and enjoy!

Can I Freeze This Ahead of Time?

Yes! Prepare the make-ahead casserole up to 24 hours and refrigerate or freeze. If frozen, thaw for 24 hours, uncover and bake. ahead of time.
