Ingredients

Strawberries or Berries Granulated Sugar Gluten-Free Flour Baking Soda Butter | Yogurt Olive Oil | Egg Lemon Juice | Heavy Cream Vanilla Extract

Start by making the fruit sauce by mashing the berries and sugar in a small bowl. Let sit to draw out moisture.

Let's Make It!

Combine the ingredients of the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and then cut in the butter.

In a separate bowl whisk together the wet ingredients and then stir together. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Evenly scoop out the batter into biscuits using a greased measuring cup. Brush with cream, sprinkle with sugar, and bake until golden brown.

Spoon the sauce on the bottom half of the biscuit. Top with whipped cream, serve, and enjoy!

Traditionally this dessert is served with fresh strawberries, but any seasonal fruit, or a mixture, may be used. The process for macerating the fruit, or making a fresh sauce with sugar, is the same.
