Ingredients

Eggs Sugar Vanilla Extract Almond Flour Cornstarch Baking Powder Apples Sliced Almonds

In a large bowl, beat together the egg yolks, sugar and extract until pale in color.

Let's Make It!

Add in all of the dry ingredients and mix together until the batter is thick.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until peaks form. Then fold into the almond flour mixture with the apples.

Evenly spread the batter into a prepped cake pan. Then top with the sliced almonds and sugar.

Bake until the outside is slightly browned, then allow to cool for an hour before serving.

Using an 8-inch springform pan is ideal. A smaller pan makes a thicker single-layer cake. Also, using a springform pan means not having to invert the cake to release from the pan.
