Tips for Making Creamy Bacon Dip
To save time substitute 1 cup bacon bits or pre-cooked chopped bacon.
For best taste use freshly grated cheese instead of packaged pre shredded.
Save calories by using light cream cheese and sour cream.
The dip may be made up to 2 days ahead of time. If serving hot, warm right before serving.
To reheat dip, heat in the microwave or place in a mini slow cooker at low setting for 3 hours.
I found the dip a tad too salty using the whole ranch dressing packet. For a more balanced flavor, remove 1 teaspoon before adding.
