How to Muddle Fruit Without a Muddler
If you don’t oven a muddler, you can still improvise. Use a cocktail shaker and place the fruit, lime juice, maple syrup, and ice inside. Secure the top and shake vigorously to crush up fruits. Pour into a glass, then stir in vodka and ginger beer. A wooden spoon pressing the fruit on the bottom and sides of glass will also work. Alternatively, place the fruit in a small bowl and use the bottom of a glass to press down on the fruit. Transfer muddled fruit to cocktail glass and proceed with recipe.
Other Fruits to Try:
This recipe works with any fresh or frozen seasonal fruit. Whether making a summer moscow mule or enjoying in the cooler months, there are many seasonal fruits to try, such as:
Strawberry - Try with muddled basil leaves instead of mint
