Sausage Muffins with cheese are perfect for breakfast, holiday brunches, or a savory snack. These fluffy muffins are take on a southern favorite, sausage balls!

Ingredients Needed:

Breakfast Sausage Flour Baking Powder Maple Syrup Cheddar Cheese Egg Milk Butter

Begin by cooking sausage, breaking up with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain on a paper towel lined plate.

In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, & salt. Stir in cooked sausage and cheese.

In a small bowl whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup. Pour into the flour mixture and stir to combine.

Spoon into greased muffin tins. Sprinkle additional cheese on top and bake for 18-20 minutes.

can I make gluten-free sausage muffins?

Yes! Swap out the flour for a gluten-free all-purpose flour and bake 1-2 minutes longer.

Are these freever-friendly?

Yes! Cool the muffins completely and wrap in plastic wrap. Transfer to a ziplock bag and freeze up to 3 months.
